Greenhouse vegetable production will increase by 18%

In Russia greenhouse vegetable production continues to grow and volumes are expected to increase this year by 18%.

 

 

 

According to forecasts by the Ministry of Agriculture, production of greenhouse vegetables will reach 1.3 million tonnes in 2019. That is an excess of more than 200 000 tonnes compared to the volume produced last year and a growth rate a little over 18%.

 

 

 

This trend will continue, the ministry estimates that in the next 5 years, greenhouse vegetable production could double compared to 2018 and reach 2 million tonnes.
