The 3rd KiwiDay, which gathered professionals in a studious but friendly atmosphere , is a real success for Ceradini Group.
On Saturday, the 25th of September 2010, saw the opening the third KiwiDay, a day dedicated to the kiwi organized by Ceradini Group, Italian company from Verona, the owner of KingKiwi and KingFruit trademarks.
The success of this third meeting surpassed all the expectations despite the unfavourable weather forecast in the beginning: more than 500 people from all Italy as well as many foreign guest took part in the event.
Several professionals delivered their speeches, among them Luciano Trentini, the director of CSO, who addressed the meeting on the 29th IKO (International Kiwifruit Organization) congress and on the future prospects of the kiwi market. Mr. Trentini also turned to the problem of the too premature harvesting and commercializing of unripe kiwifruits what can expose to risk the confidence in all the sector.
The followed address of Fabio Treossi, a technician specialized in pollination, emphasized on the experience with the preventive treatments that had given interesting results. By-turn, Gianni Tacconi, specialist in biotechnology and now also in kiwi sector, presented some important updated information concerning the pollination.
All addresses and speeches met the appreciable interest of the participants. After Massimo Ceradini’s thanks, as the tradition a delicious dinner was served, followed by guided visits of the enterprise.
As a novelty of this year, an organized by Ceradini small train which has simplified the movement between the camps and plantations and entertained all the guests, young and old. The day was closed with the lottery with the prizes from the open day’s sponsors.
