Melons season has started in Crimea (Russia)
According to the latest data, first melons produced in Crimea have appeared within local markets this week. Based on the recent information, melons season has started late this year. This fact could be traced to bad spring weather conditions. Moreover due to heavy rainfalls, melons producers were forced to reseed the melons, while low night temperatures at the beginning of summer slowed down the ripening. At the current moment melons are available at 0,51 – 0,76 USDkg. Price mainly depends on melons variety and quality.
