Artichoke exports continue to progress

According to Agrodata data, for the first four months of the year, exports of artichokes recorded a progression by 20% of their turnover. This beginning of 2013 has generated a turnover of 22.9 million U.S. $, for the same period 2012 the amount reached 19 million U.S. $. Progression almost identical to volumes, last year 6.2 million tonnes exported, this year 7.3 million tonnes.

Principal markets are the United States (48% of total exports) and Spain (24%). Peru exports its artichokes in 20 other markets of smaller importance.
