At the Dubai EXPO2020, the India Pavilion is hosting various events aimed at raising awareness of the Indian agricultural sector. During a seminar on organic farming, it was announced that the export of organic products in 2020-21 reached 888,179.68 tons. That is an increase of +51% compared to the volume exported in 2019-20.
"We plan to aim for a 10% export share in the world fruit and vegetable market by 2030," said Mr. Shri Priya Ranjan, co-secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The country continues to consolidate its certification system and strengthen appropriate phytosanitary protocols to ensure that Indian organic products gain more recognition in international markets.
