Ica region leads Peruvian grape exports

During the 2023-2024 season, the Ica region (Peru) accounted for 56% of the country's total table grape exports, according to data provided by the Peruvian Table Grape Producers' Association (Provid). This leadership is reflected in some 35,050,520 boxes of 8.2 kilos each that were shipped.
During the same period, total Peruvian exports of table grape reached 62,745,826 boxes, a drop of 12% compared to the previous season, when 71,404,349 boxes were registered. Despite this overall decline, Ica continued to be the main centre of grape exports in Peru, followed by the region of Piura with 20,142,621 boxes, representing 32% of the total volume exported.
Regarding international markets, the United States remained the main destination, absorbing more than 29 million boxes, representing 46% of total exports. Although there was a reduction of 11% compared to the previous season, Peruvian table grapes continue to be present in 43 other markets worldwide, including the Netherlands, Mexico, China, the United Kingdom, Canada and Spain.
