Containerization of these banana import flows which replaces the conventional transport allowed to guide the choice of Del Monte in favor of Dunkirk. This decision of Del Monte to transfer by Dunkerque its traffic from Cameroon coincides with the announcement of the opening of its first ripening room in France at international market Rungis (our info from 13.01.2014).
For Christine Cabau Woehrel, CEO of Grand Port Maritime of Dunkerque: "Being chosen by Del Monte such a large group of high influence in the industry is a sign of gratitude for our expertise and consistency of privileged gateway and leads to predict other developments in the global agri-food sector.
