Coop Schweiz and Rewe in food service joint venture

Coop Schweiz and Rewe have announced that they are to establish a joint venture to supply food products to hotels and restaurants in France and Switzerland. The new company, to be called transGourmet, will combine Rewe's Gastro division and Coop's Bell Gastro service, with overall sales of around EUR 1.5 billion annually.
