Live from Macfrut Attraction China: "We want to be the Number 1 BtoBtoC event for Agricultural and Horticultural products in China"

 

Dr Giansciani SUN, Head of Horti China has been met on the first day of the event to explain this event ambitions.

 

"This is the first edition of our event Macfrut Attraction China. This is the fruit a successfull combination:

First, a combination of different products with fruit, vegetables and flowers.

Second, a combination of partners with Macfrut (Italy), Fruit Attraction ( Spain), Hi-Fresh: a fruit and veg event in China, China Greenhouse Association and last but not least: Chinese National Agricultural Products Wholesale Markets Association.

The Wholesale Market Association is a key player on fruit/veg distribution as they represnt the obvious channel for fruit distribution with key 400/500 companies specialised in fruit and vegetables. You must know that Wholesale Markets are proceeding with various formalities as customs, phytosanitary inspections etc... They are also open to public, so lots of Chinese go there to find better quality and cheaper prices."

 

This first edition is bringing together 400 exhibitors. NECC is a modern and convenient exhibition center, and lots of progress has been realized by Chinese companies on the way to present and promote their brands. A part of the exhibition is dedicated to greenhouse technologies, and another part to fruit & vegetables operators including the biggest players in China.

 

Dr Giansciani SUN explains:

"These combination of events is taking place inside the "China Green Week" umbrella.

We want to develop this events brand in order to propose different trade shows with synergies and different well-chosen conferences and happenings during 5 days. In 2017, we have different conferences as China Greenhouse Congress, Seeding future Summit, World Citrus Summit... to offer Chinese and Asian Pacific area visitors a great education program.

 

Our ambition is to be the number 1 BtoBtoC event for Agricultural / Horticultural industry in China.

Next year, we will be at the same time , and at the same place. We will try to include saturday and sunday in order to have 1 and half days for General public.

So probably Day 1 and the morning of Day 2 will be Professional visitors only (BtoB) and from the second half od Day 2 + Day 3 will be open also for General Public (BtoC).

There is a strong demand for fruit/veg brands to promote their brands and products to General Public. The General Public visitors will come from the Yangtze River Triangle, the richest part of China with 100+ Million people. Shanghai is already 30 Millions people. We have no doubt that visitors will come as the motivation is very strong for fruit & vegetable and maximum distance will be 2 hours drive."
