Karel Bolckmans will replace Francois Maes at Special Fruit

After having worked for more than 35 years in the sector of Fruits & Vegetables, Francois Maes, the founder and driving force of the Special Fruit Company, will resign from his current position of Business Development Director (Director of Business Development) from 1 January 2015.

Francois Maes held the position since October 2012, when he handed over the daily management of the company to his brother Patrick Maes. However,Francois will remain heavily involved in the affairs of the company through the Board, .

On September 1, Karel Bolckmans will join the Special Fruit team as Business Development Director, together with Francois Maes, and from 1 January 2015 it will be fully responsible for this department.

Karel Bolckmans is recognized authority in the sector (integrated pest management, sustainable agriculture, innovation management) with over 20 years of international experience . Especially in Koppert Biological Systems where he was Director of Global R & D services and production.
