Avocado exports from the Huancavelica region (Peru) would double in the 2022 season due to the expected increase in certified places of production and the efforts of the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa), which already carries out phytosanitary actions, according to local media.

In the 2021 campaign, more than 4,732 tons of the fruit were certified and exported to China, Thailand, South Korea, the European Union, the United States, Chile and Argentina.

Through the certification of places of production, it is verified that the producers have complied with Good Agricultural Practices - GAP, carried out control activities against quarantine pests, complied with the work plans established between the importing country and Senasa.
