NEPG confirms withdrawal production in 2015

NEPG (North - Western European Potato Growers ) based on the latest national data that have been confirmed by France, the Netherlands and Britain , announced its final figures for the 2015 production.

2015 production of potatoes for 5 countries is 25,314,000 tons. Therefore a lower production by11.2 % compared to last season ( 28.515 million tons ) and comparable to the average for the last five years.

In detail by countries: Belgium has produced 4.071 million tons , Germany 7.379 million tons, 5.231 million tons France , the Netherlands 3.811 million tons and Great Britain 4,822,000 tons.

Current stocks will allow NEPG countries to benefit from opportunities of expeditions and field current exports to the rest of the Union and beyond. All this in addition to excellent current exports of finished products outside the EU-28.
