Shorter travel for cherries on the Chile-China line

 

 

 

This season the trip is shorter for Chilean cherries that can reach China in just 22/23 days, 5 days less than the past years. Thanks to an agreement between ASOEX (the Chilean Association of Fruit Exporters) and the maritime consortium that operates the Valparaiso / China line. Chilean exporters have also made arrangements to reserve all refrigerated containers, on average 1,000 per vessel, for these fast shipments. Weekly departures on the line.

 

 

 

On arrival in Hong Kong, distribution is fast and efficient with a complete network for the cold chain to all wholesale markets of China.

 

 

 

Air shipments of Chilean cherries, with volumes necessarily lower, began at the end of October. Then in November began the first of the 70 flights, planned for the campaign, of China Eastern Airlines.
