Decrease of the Italian exports of fruits and vegetables in 2009.
According to the figures of Istat and Fruitimprese, the Italian exports of fruits and vegetables decreased in 2009.
The exports lost 4,6 % in volume and 13,5 % in value.
Citrus fruits are the most touched and lose 14,8 % in volume and 17,4 % in value.
Vegetables lose 16,4 % in volume and 2,7 % in value.
Imports are in increase with 11, 2 % growth in volume in 3,2 million tons and 8, 4 % in value for fruits and vegetables.
Citrus fruits knew a 37,9 % increase in volume and of 16,5 % in value.
Vegetables, 18 % in volume and 20,4 % in value.
For the analysts, only year 2004 had known figures so bad over the period of the last ten years.
