Peruvian avocado exports increased by 28%

In the last avocado campaiggn, which spanned the period from January to September 2021, Peru exported 525,000 tons of fresh avocados, which means an increase of 28%, compared to the 410,000 tons exported in 2020, according to Fernando Cillóniz Benavides, the president of the consulting firm Inform@cción.

 

The value of these supplies totaled $1,046,574,633, which is an increase of 37% compared to the $763,589,092 achieved in 2020.

 

The main destinations for these exports were the Netherlands, with a total of 171,816,836 kg, the United States, with 92,298,423 kg; Spain, with 84,686,223 kg; Chile, 71,218,008 kg; United Kingdom more than 35,000,000 kg; and other countries that together accumulated 70,098,813 kg.
