Peruvian fresh asparagus exports on the rise

Peruvian fresh asparagus exports in the first bimester of 2023 increased both in volume and value, comparing to the same term of 2022. 

In January and February 2023, the country exported 11.819.787 kilos of the veg worth $39.084.334, informs Agrodata Perú.

During the same term of 2022, Peru shipped 10.232.486 kilos of asparagus for $30.781.833.

In the first two months of 2023, the main destination for said supplies was the United States (41% of total value), followed by the United Kingdom (34%), the Netherlands (15%) Spain (7%), and Belgium (1%), among other countries.
