A symbol of the company's ambitions, a new banana ripening plant was inaugurated in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thanks to this innovative plant for the South American zone, BATTAGLIO is aiming for significant growth in the Argentinian domestic market, by improving the distribution service.
BATTAGLIO ARGENTINA SA exports around 12,000 tons of fruit a year, especially apples and pears. Its geographical position allows it to select the best products, mainly for Italy, Russia, Brazil and the United States. Since 2017, the company imports and distributes bananas and pineapples for the domestic market.
BATTAGLIO SpA selects and imports the best fruits from the countries of each continent to distribute in Italy a wide range of exotic fruits, especially bananas and pineapples, as well as many types of fresh fruits and vegetables in off-season, for a total of 160 000 tonnes of products marketed per year.
