PERFRUTTO with its caliber forecasts optimizes production

CALIBIT measuring tool and PERFRUTTO prediction of average diameters.

PERFRUTTO is a high-tech service used to forecast production in apple orchards, pears and kiwis. It stems from a predictive algorithm developed in 30 years of university research. The PERFRUTTO application and the CALIBIT measurement tool make it possible to optimize production. In a few years of observations, it was noted that the turnover of producers increased by 25 to 40% per hectare.

 
 
With the CALIBIT measuring tool, the producer must take measurements on 12 trees / hectare and 20 fruits / tree. The collected measurements are processed by PERFRUTTO software which generates a forecast of average diameters and the distribution of fruit sizes. These data, used to better manage the other operations (irrigation, fertilization ...), will allow to obtain higher yields and improve the final size of the fruits.
 
 
 
The use of PERFRUTTO showed 5.5% increase in fruit size at harvest. Producing bigger fruits means getting better paid yields from the markets. This shift to larger size classes has allowed PERFRUTTO's customers to increase their revenues and also improve their profitability by reducing operating costs by 10%.
