Hard season for litchi in Madagascar

The current season for litchi exporters in Madagascar is not good.

 

Both the prices fell because of financial crisis and the quality of fruits doesn’t fulfill the expectations of European clients.

 

The total volume of litchi exported to Europe this season reached about 23,950 tons.

 

This is less than in previous season 2007/08 when litchi exporters from this country sold in Europe 21,450 tons.
