Expected decline of almost 20% for citrus crops

Spain as a whole will produce a lower volume of citrus during the 2015-16 season.
According to the estimates of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Spanish citrus production should be around 5.7 million tonnes or 19.2 % less than the previous harvest . The production is expected to decline by 22.3% in the Valencia region , 23.3% in the region of Murcia and approximately 6% in the Andalucía region.
These 1st estimates marked by climatic conditions (temperature, rainfall) recorded but may vary. The campaign is long, productive potential subject to various changes that may also cause a rise in real results.
