CMR Group brings Europe its first cherry container of the season

Europe will launch its off-season cherry campaign with the arrival of the first sea container of cherries on 9 December in Rotterdam, sourced from Chilean producer C&L. The shipment follows an on-site visit by CMR Group’s import team, who inspected orchards and selected fruit during week 45.

From week 50, the cherries will be marketed exclusively through CMR Group’s sales network in Europe, marking the official start of this season’s early cherry supply.

C&L, a family company with more than 50 years of experience in premium stone fruit, operates under a sustainability-focused model that includes clean energy use, advanced irrigation, waste management and water sanitisation. The grower holds major international certifications such as Walmart Global Security Operations, SMETA and BRCGS, ensuring strong traceability and consistent quality.

In the weeks following the first shipment, CMR Group will complement the programme with additional origins and further stone-fruit items, offering customers a wide and premium selection for the winter season.
