Quality problems on banana production

Since some time, Costa Rica is knowing quality problems on banana production due to diseases, humidity and cyclones. Moreover, labour costs are higher. The international group Chiquita, which invested a lot in the country, meets problems on return on investments and moves to Ecuador instead.
