Russia, officially became a member of the WTO and will open its market and lower tariffs.
The Russian market is now partially open after formal accession to the WTO.
After 18 years of negotiations, Russia became a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and has agreed to open its market by lowering its tariffs.
For agricultural products, the average tariffs will go from 13.2 to 10.8%. For all imported products, tariffs will fall from the current average of 10% to an average of 7.8%.
