In this campaign, producers from the Ancash region (Peru) exported a total of 25.286 tons of Hass avocado, exceeding the volume exported in the previous season, according to the National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (SENASA).

The main destinations this season were Chile, the United States, England, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and Russia.

SENASA specialists certified 527 production sites in the Casma, Del Santa and Huarmey provinces.

In order to prevent the appearance of pests that could threaten production, the entity carries out permanent phytosanitary surveillance.

Before the start of the campaign, it coordinates with the farmers for the management of the production zone certificate, the main document to achieve the avocado export.

In the processing plants, the execution of the work protocols established by the importing country is ensured to minimize quarantine pests dissemination risk.
