India and Philippines are the 1st suppliers

The available offer of fruits and vegetables is increasing in the country.

According to a report of MBT (Ministry of Business and Trade), the amount of vegetables available at the Central Market in April was to 22,240 tons, +45% compared to month of April of 2012. India is the supplier of vegetables No. 1, followed by Jordan and by local products and finally various sources (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Oman, China, Pakistan).

The amount of fruits available has also increased but more weakly by +3% . This is the Philippines that are leader in providing of fruits, with bananas and pineapples. Egypt, South Africa, India, Australia, China, Pakistan and Lebanon follow.
