USA / China / Europe, the top three for Chilean grape exports

In Chile, exports of table grapes have exceeded 600,000 tonnes. The main destinations are the United States, China, Europe.

 

 

 

According to ASOEX data, exports of Chilean table grapes reached 602,020 tonnes, 6.83% lower than the previous season.

 

 

 

The United States is the No. 1 destination with 274,887 tonnes, followed by the Far East with 163,928 tonnes, Europe with 97,407 tonnes and Latin America with 69,627 tonnes. Canada and the Middle East received 17,381 and 11,138 tonnes, respectively.

 

 

 

China is the 2nd destination for Chilean table grapes with 112,657 tonnes, an increase of 5.5% compared to 2018-19. With regard to Europe, the Netherlands received 31,323 tonnes (+ 28.07%), England 26,694 tonnes (+ 8.01%).

 

 

 

The production volume was lower than that of the previous season. Mainly due to a decrease in areas, less water availability, as well as high summer temperatures, which affected the development of the fruits.
