Strawberries : a promising Chinese market

China today ranks among the main strawberry producers in the world. The annual production is around 120 000 tons for a farmed area of 20/30 000 hectares. The leading productive regions are Hebei, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Shandong, Beijing & Sichuan. Harvest is between March and June.
