Carrefour to open biggest shopping mall in Europe

Carrefour's Turkish operations, a joint venture with local group Sabanci Holding, is planning to open Europe's biggest shopping mall in 2007. Plans for the mall, to be located in Istanbul, were announced at the opening of Carrefour's 12th hypermarket in the country recently. Carrefour also operates 11 Champion supermarkets and over 250 Dia discount stores in Turkey, with further stores planned to open across the country.
