ACENORCA - the biggest producer of olives in Extremadura increases production 2007

The president of the Meeting of Extremadura, Juan Carlos Rodriguez Ibarra and the Secretary General of Agriculture and Feeding of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Feeding, Josep Puxeu, visited yesterday the new factory of dressing olives Acenorca in Montehermoso (Cáceres). A factory that plans to reach a capacity of production of 25.000.000 kilograms of olives every year.
Acenorca exports olives to 25 countries worldwide, mainly to the countries of the Eastern Europe and in addition to the export of table olives, company exports olive oil. Every year Acenorca puts molding on 5.000.000 kilos of olive for the oil production.
The total investment for the construction of the factory has been superior to 14.000.000 Euro. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Feeding participates in this investment in 9% of total sum, the Council of Economy of the Meeting of Extremadura in 21% and 70% contributed more than 4.000 associated of Acenorca.
