These bananas are unique, and except Lipetsk, in Russia they mature only in the botanical gardens of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, explained Sergei Glazinov, biologist of “Zelenchoz”. The aplings of banana grass were imported from Suchumi.
In contrast to the ordinary fodder varieties of bananas, this variety is sweeter. One bunch contains nearly 50 fruits. The bunch will be mature in a month. According to IA REGNUM, pineapples, coffee and citruses are also to mature in the botanical gardens.
