Moroccan tomato exports are heading towards a record: 400,000 tons shipped.
If Moroccan citrus exports recorded a decline, exports of tomatoes are the opposite.
The volume of exports, in early March recorded 297,320 tons while the volume exported last year reached 259,170 tons.
The Souss region with 289,120 tons carried the bulk of production .
The Moroccan tomato exporters are optimistic and expect 400,000 tons of tomatoes for export, a record for the country.
