Dole France and JP Fresh to Compagnie Fruitière
France
Thursday 11 September 2008
Today Compagnie Fruitière, with its production farms located in Western Africa, is the largest fruit importing company from ACP Countries (African, Carribean, Pacific). It distributes in EU markets over 450,000 tonnes of fruits every year and privileges Dole’s distribution network in Countries such as France and United Kingdom.
Dole holds 40% of Compagnie Fruitière, while the remainder belongs to Fabre Holding. Dole is currently considering the possibility to sell to Compagnie Fruitière Dole France and JP Fresh, English company of the group. The transfer will favour a closer relation of Dole France and JP Fresh with ACP Countries, their providers of bananas. Dole would however keep 40% of shares of Compagnie Fruitière.
The transaction will be finalized during the last months of 2008.
