Prehearing conferences at East AFRIPACK 2014

The objective is to develop standards and best practices to improve the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, by respecting the global trends in sustainable development.

Conference organized by the EAC (East African Community), the Ministry of Development of Kenya, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Ipack-Ima SpA. Entitled "Sustainable packaging for competitiveness and business development in the EAC region" conference will be held in Kigali, Rwanda, on 3 and 4 June 2013.

The conference is supported by the Italian Trade Delegation (ICE) and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE). The event will bring together professionals (suppliers of packaging and industrial technologies), representatives of the Ministries of several African countries, diplomats and traders.

This conference is the first step towards the East AFRIPACK 2014 which will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, in September 2014. Other preparatory conferences at East AFRIPACK 2014 are planned for Uganda, Burundi and Tanzania.
