The average export price of Uzbek carrots dropped from $213 to $186 per tonne amid shrinking sales.
Between January and April 2025, Uzbekistan exported 22,000 tonnes of carrots worth $4.1 million, according to the country’s national statistics agency. This marks a 60% drop in volume compared to the same period last year.
The average export price also went down — from $213 per tonne in early 2024 to $186 this year.
Kyrgyzstan was the top buyer, accounting for over half of Uzbekistan’s carrot exports. Kazakhstan followed with 6,000 tonnes, and Russia came third with 4,300 tonnes. Smaller shipments also went to Ukraine, Tajikistan, and several other countries.
