Taiwan reopens market for northwest US apples

Taiwan has recently lifted its ban on apple imports from the Northwest of the USA. Apples from the Northwest and California were banned last December after codling moth larvae were found in shipments. Taiwan is an important market for Fuji apples, where the large red fruit are often given as a gift.
