UYMSİB predicts that these increases (value, volume) will continue throughout the year.

Turkey recorded remarkable increases in its exports in terms of volume (+ 25%) and value (+ 17%). These good results come largely from the growth of its shipments to Russia.

According to UYMSİB (Uludağ Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Exporters Association), the exporters' association, Turkey has increased its fresh fruit and vegetable exports by about 60 million USD in the first four months of the year. Exports to Russia increased by 125% in value from 90 to 202 million USD and 91% in volume to reach 315,000 tonnes.

Total exports of Fresh Fruits & Vegetables increased during the same period by 25% in value, from 635 to 794 million USD and 17% in volume reaching 1.5 million tonnes. In the first four months of 2018, export sales totaled $ 800 million compared with $ 635 million last year. That's a surplus of about $ 160 million.
