Gaza's Strawberries to Europe
Reduction of blockade allows the export of agricultural products from the Gaza Strip, and will help spur economic activity.
Agricultural products from the Gaza Strip have taken the path of the export in partnership with Agrexco Carmel who works with Palestinian producers for several years.
The first shipment of 2.3 tons of strawberries from Gaza has just arrived in Rungis. Exports will grow over the coming weeks and nearly 22 tons of strawberries leave every day the Gaza Strip.
Agrexco Carmel, Israel's leading fruit and vegetables, has scheduled delivery of 700 tons of strawberries and 2 million flowers and aromatic herbs in Europe from the Palestinian territories.
Agrexco Carmel distributes goods from the Gaza Strip under the name "Coral".
