New fruits grown in Cuba, blueberries have an exponential demand in international markets.
In Cuba, in the province of Pinar del Río (west of the country) where soils are particularly favorable to the good development of fruits, the first blueberry crops have just begun.
The plants come from Chile and the methods adopted meet the technical standards in other countries. After a validation phase, the proponents intend to conduct large-scale production in the province.
Demand that is growing all over the world promises significant exports for this new agricultural sector.
