Aid for Fruit Trees' Sharka Virus

Chancellery of Valencian Agriculture will destine this year a total of 450,000 Euros of financial support to compensate the costs that the starting of the fruit trees affected by the virus of sharka. The objective of the starting of the trees affected by this virus is to avoid the diffusion, in the cultures of the Valencian Community, of this disease that affects the apricot trees, plum trees and peach trees. For that reason, the holders of the operations of fruit trees who appreciate the possible existence of a center of "sharka" are forced to communicate it immediately to the technicians of the Chancellery of the Agriculture, who will determine if they have the virus by means of serological and biological analysis.
