Procomel eyes Russian market

Spanish melon specialist Procomel is determined to conquer the Russian market following its participation in “World Food Moscow”, the international exhibition held at the end of September.
The General Director of Procomel, Mr. Celedonio Buendía, highlighted the great potential of the Russian market, where the company’s strategy is focused on minority consumption, as the fruit is still unknown in Russia.
Procomel commercialises the “Los Melones del Abuelo” and “Sugar Baby” brands, both of which were presented at the international exhibition.
The company noted a positive reaction from retailers and Mr. Buendía declared that “although no agreements have been reached, retailers are interested in starting to work very soon.”
