CONSORZIO FINGERLIME presents some of the varieties that offer different colours and characteristics taste.
The CONSORZIO FINGERLIME presents on booth HB5D5-003 the new production of finger lime. Production expected to double and even triple in the coming years.
CONSORZIO FINGERLIME aims to promote, develop, protect and rationalize the productive and commercial activities of associated enterprises engaged in the planting, direct cultivation, multiplication, import, export and trading of fruit Citrus Australasica, also called "Finger Lime" or lemon caviar.
Native to Australia, the fruit adapts very well in Sicily and Calabria. Producer members of the CONSORZIO FINGERLIME have already planted a dozen varieties, including ALSTONVILLE, PINK ICE, JUDY'S EVERBEARING, EMERALD, BYRON, SUNRISE, YELLOW.
The production starts very early, some fructifications which can reach almost a kilo from the 2nd year, to reach the full production of 10/12 kg in the 5th or 6th year. This explains the expected volumes, production doubled or tripled in the coming years.
