Collaboration agreement between FRESHUELVA and ASOEX

RESHUELVA President, Alberto Garrocho, and ASOEX Secretary General, Sergio Maureira, signed the collaboration agreement at the recent Fruit Attraction in Madrid.
Signed during the recent FRUIT ATTRACTION in Madrid, the agreement between FRESHUELVA, the association of the red fruit producers of the province of Huelva, and ASOEX, the association of the fruit exporters of Chile, aims at a solid and close collaboration for stimulate consumption.
With this agreement the two organizations announce their intention to share information, exchange their know-how, undertake visits and missions, and to set up a new campaign to promote blueberries - with fruits of the 2 sources - aimed at boosting consumption in Spain. The joint promotion will cover the main fruit export seasons for both countries, from November to April and from May to August.
This joint promotion will take advantage of the complementary seasons for blueberries in Chile and Spain. In the region of Huelva, blueberries rose to 2nd place behind strawberries and producers continue their efforts to apply innovative techniques but also to look for new markets to absorb the increase in volumes.
The joint promotion campaigns will aim at developing overall consumption of fresh blueberries, first in Spain and Europe, then in Asia and the United States.
