Ecuadorian mango and pitahaya to enter South Korean market

The Ecuadorian mango and pitahaya are the next candidates for export to South Korea. According to Ecuadorian media, on October 10, the country signed a pre-agreement with South Korea for an Economic Cooperation Strategic Agreement (SECA). The signing took place between the Ministers of Foreign Trade from both countries, Daniel Legarda and Bang Moon Kyu.
Regarding mangoes, the sanitary protocol for their entry into the South Korean market has been finalized, and the market is set to open by the end of this year.
As for pitahayas, the process of market access has begun, as confirmed by Daniel Legarda, the Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments, and Fisheries.
