Surface area dedicated to organic farming in the Valencia Region grows 9.2% year-on-year

The Valencia Region has registered an increase in the area dedicated to organic farming, reaching 139,353 certified hectares in 2023. This increase of 9.2% over the previous year highlights a remarkable progress, doubling the extension of a decade ago.

 

The province of Valencia leads this growth with an increase of 47%, followed by Alicante and Castelló with increases of 30% and 24% respectively. Vicent Faro, president of the Organic Agriculture Committee of the Valencia Region (CAECV), welcomes this progress as a testament to farmers' commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
