Mexican avocado exports grew by 18.5% in the first half of 2021

In 2020, Mexican avocado exports registered a record with shipments for $ 2,937 million, compared to $ 2,932 million registered in 2019.

Mexican avocado exports in the first half of 2021 totaled 828.348, which is an increase of 18.5% compared to the same period in 2020, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Mexico.

The main factor that has driven this rise is expansion of avocado plantations in recent years.

In 2020, Mexican avocado exports registered a record with shipments for $ 2,937 million, compared to $ 2,932 million registered in 2019.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicts that Mexico will continue to be the first exporter of agri-food products to the US market in 2021.
