Thanks to the commercial agreement with the KiwiGold Consortium of Cesena (central Italy), Naturitalia has gained the exclusive trading of the Jingold yellow-pulped kiwifruits.
“This is an innovative fruit - Mr. Patrizio Neri, chairman of the KiwiGold Consortium highlights - which was obtained through a long research and natural selection programme carried out by Italian and Chinese researchers. The yellow-pulped kiwifruit has interesting features such as the possibility of being cold-preserved for long time (even six months), the high levels of sugars, C and E vitamins and mineral salts, besides a great firmness and crispness of the pulp”.
Naturitalia director Mr. Gabriele Ferri adds: “Thanks to its innovative characteristics, this fruit has great possibilities of gaining consumers’ affection, as proved also by some commercial enquiry carried out in recent years by the KiwiGold Consortium in Italy and other Countries, highlighting a growing market interest and appreciation towards this product”.
Through the sale campaign 2007/2008 Naturitalia will aim at strengthening its position among traditional customers and developing also new partnership relations with other market protagonists. The Jingold kiwifruits will be directed mainly to Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania and will adopt a diversified commercial approach according to the different trade channels - privileging the large-scale distribution chains in Western Europe and North America.
“To be able to guarantee a constant supply of Jingold yellow kiwifruits all year round - the chairman Mr. Neri points out - the KiwiGold Consortium has scheduled the cultivation both in the Northern and the Southern hemisphere. The production is well developing in Italy - where cultivated fields are most of all concentrated in the regions Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Veneto, Friuli and Calabria -but also in Southern America: Chile and Uruguay. On the whole, when the plants will reach their full performance by 2013, the output potential will amount 60,000 tons”, Mr. Neri concludes.
