Armenia increases apricots export volumes

According to the latest information, Armenia has remarkably increased apricots export volumes, almost 5 times upturn has been registered in Armenia this year,  Based on the official data, approximately 12 000 tons of apricots have been exported from Armenia till June 2015, while last year export volumes comprised less than 2 000 tons of apricots. Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Belorussia, Georgia and Russia are top priority markets for Armenian apricots. It stands to mention that most of Armenian apricots were exported to Russian fruits market this year. In the light of recent Russian embargo for fruits importing from EU, Armenia has considerably high chances to strengthen its position within domestic fruits market of Russia.
