re-export causes a new ban

Russia strikes ban imports of vegetables from Albania.

Rosselkhoznadzor ( the Russian Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance ) banned all imports of vegetables from Albania announced TASS.

Albania has been used as a cover for imports into Russia via Belarus and Kazakhstan. A joint investigation into the two countries has uncovered the fraud , comparing the volumes produced in Albania and " exported " amounts in Russia. In addition, false Albanian phytosanitary certificates accompanying the goods , supposedly from the EU.

The Russian agency said that particular attention would be paid to products from Macedonia , Bosnia and Switzerland.
