Growing demand for blueberries in Asia

Blueberry consumption in Asia has been growing by 30 per cent a year over recent years.

Growing demand in China and India for blueberries could be an opportunity for Australian growers.

If the labour cost in Australia seems to be a barrier, its nearness with Asia is very positive.

Most of the shipments are made by air to keep the freshness, but the fact that those countries are closer, it could conduce to do sea freight shipments.
