The wholesale market of Bordeaux is 50 years old

Located at the southern entrance of the city, the Market of National Interest (MIN) of Bordeaux-Brienne is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Installed quay of Brienne, near the city center, the market has been able to make good progress. Each year 230,000 tonnes of products are exchanged, 67% of which are fruits and vegetables. The turnover reached 3 billion €  per year.

From 116 companies installed now on the site, eight were present at the opening in 1963:  Cobana, Bourdales, Barrabes, Gil and fils, Lacoste, Pomona, Sica Maraîchère and Triassic.
